KC-->LA: The Experience is coming to KANSAS CITY! If you missed out on The Experience in Los Angeles, CA this past Summer, now is your chance to be a part of a truly one of a kind event. This event was created to show young dancers from the midwest that the possibilities are endless. The faculty consists of midwest dancers that have carved a name for themselves in Kansas City, Los Angeles, and/or New York City. You may be asking, "What is the difference between the LA Experience and the Kansas City Experience?" The main difference is location, group size, and length of event. While the Kansas City Experience will still be way more intimate than your average convention room, we have more slots available than at the LA Experience. In KC, all classes will be held at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center. As many of you know the LA Experience is for ages 9-13, submission based and acceptance is mandatory to attend. The Kansas City Experience is open to the public AND we have added a mini age group (6-8 year olds). We are also going to be giving out a few "Automatic Acceptances" to the LA Experience (for ages that apply) so if you are interested at all in attending for Summer 2025, this is an amazing opportunity to surpass the submission process and get ready for LA! Register now (see below) because spots are limited. We can't wait to dance with you all! For questions, please email Karlee at Karlee@karleecline.com.
Registration is a two-step process, you must fill out a registration form first and submit that. REGISTRATION FORM: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdNHUOAg7g2X-BuW4AWfFuqAOSgwT9mU4rngwhGgLFQLkH7Rw/viewform?usp=sf_link
Secondly, submit payment online immediately before or after filling out the form. To pay online, scroll down and select your dancer(s) age group and click the appropriate link, in the notes section at check out YOU MUST put your dancer's first and last name. Payment must be made at the time of registration or your spot will not be reserved.
Please reach us at karlee@karleecline.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
There are a few differences between the two "Experiences". In LA, you attend classes in several different locations over a few days. Kansas City is a one day event per age age group in one location. While both "Experiences" are curated and intimate, the Kansas City one is open to any and all ages/levels are welcome, as there is no submission/acceptance process. The Kansas City Experience will be more similar to a workshop with more slots available, whereas LA is an even smaller group.
It will be held at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center. This is a unique space that is used for rehearsals for "Theatre in the Park".
Minis will be on January 4th from 10:30am-12:30pm and Juniors will be January 5th 2:30-8:30pm.
Dancers may dance down an age group if they feel more comfortable, however to move up an age group you must take your respective level as well as the older group AND get approval from Karlee. (If you choose to take two levels, a discount will be given for the second workshop.)
Faculty announcements are currently being posted on Instagram. Stay tuned for the rest! @karleecline.choreography
See the links below for all registration and payment info.
Parents will not be allowed to observe, however it is at each teachers' discretion to allow parents to watch the final round of groups at the end of each class. There will be a waiting area.
No refunds will be given.
Dancers will have a couple of minutes between each class to change shoes and grab a drink of water/small snack. Juniors and Teens/Seniors will have a 15 minute break within their schedule.
